Tesseract_Methane : India’s First 360-Degree-VR camera.
Tesseract_Methane which was founded in mumbai in 2013 created a unique Methane VR camera for B2B market (Bussines 2 Bussines),It’s Camera started pre-ordering in October and has started shipping globally.According to the Developing team of this VR camera that this camera will be bought by the Startup company like Housing.com, CommonFloor, NestAway, and Oyo rooms as these company wanted to give VR experience to their customers.
“Housing, CommonFloor, NestAway, Oyo were there first customers.Tesseract expanded their bussines to US said by Tesseract co-founder Kshitij Marwah. He is almnus of the MIT media labs, and he says that the they have sold some of their ,cameras to US Prosumers.
He use to lead the MIT Media Lab India program, which led to come him India once a year, starting in 2011,he started to crete innovative prototypes and work with the engineers with the design.”That’s when I discovered that there’s enough of an ecosystem over here both in manufacturing and skill set to create a world class product out of India,From there, the idea to build a VR camera grew” Marwah said.
His thinking give a rise to the result of Methane 360 VR camera. It’s a 360-Degree camera which rotates around a fixed axis and has the ability to capture multiple photos at a time.It also got a optional onboard 3D sensors.
Marwah says “Every image that is captured can be seen in virtual reality, and when you see it, it is like you are right inside that space” .All of that is done through a battery powered device, processing is done inside the camera itself. It also aquire a dual-core 1GHz processor running inside the camera which done all the adjustment of lighting environment, shipping, blending,VR optimisation,HDR,Burst mode and with different exposure and much more, which it can do real time,The latest smartphone hich seemd to replacing the android smartphone cant capture Virtual Reality images because of their limitation if you want to do you have to take 64 photos and keep that photos in perfect algorith to look that scene Virtual Reality.
This Tesseract methane Camera is 30 centimetres long, comes with onboard Wi-Fi, built-in 3D sensors, and can take 200 12-megapixel spherical images in one charge. It will be used by apps can be used indoors and outdoors both.
It will be released in two pricing models (at a lot of 50 units) you get 1 unit per as Rs 50,000 as the price of the camera at global level will be Rs1.5 lakh if you want it with a 3d sensor, Methane 360 is ten times smaller and cheaper than competing products like the Matterport, which is priced at $4,500, or just under Rs. 3 lakh, as the company is from India the price may varies lower in INDIA,it’s one of the stuff Ricoh Theta S will be going at a price of RS 40,000 in INDIA it can be the major block for creation and reducing the load of the comapny.
